Meet the Team

A bit about me – Mandy Broomhead

I qualified as a teacher in 1992. My teaching roles have been many and varied including several international roles. In my final classroom role as Assistant Head I had my third child Daisy and decided Headship wasn’t for me so decided to take a step back and focus on my family. I didn’t want to leave teaching altogether as my passion for educating children was still there. I began helping to prepare children for the entrance exam for our local grammar school ‘Heckmondwike’ (hence the company name!) Over the last 12 years our little kitchen table business has flourished and we now teach over 300 students a week between a team of 8 teachers. Over 95% of our students have successfully reached the standard required for their chosen school. We now teach students all across the UK as well as many in other
worldwide destinations.

My Partnership with Sabah Hadi and ‘The 11+ Journey’

I have become friends with many other teachers and educators and am proud and privileged to partner with Sabah Hadi who shares my vision and holistic views to education. I am hoping that this will be the beginning of the next step of both of our journeys. We have a shared goal that is to guide, teach and support children and their families through the challenging roads and bumps of ‘The 11+ Journey’ Sabah has provided a parent’s guide and checklists to help organise your study time. These are featured in all of our books.
